#2021-141223/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 06-08-2021 at 0100 hours, officers responded to a call of a female that had already caused disturbances at two hospitals and had been removed by SPD. She returned to a hospital ER lobby and refused to leave while causing a disturbance. Officers arrested her for interference with health care facility. During the arrest she assaulted multiple officers. A Type 1 Use of Force occurred during the arrest. Subject will be booked for multiple counts of Assault 3 after a hospital guard. Hazard reports completed.
#2021-141583/East Precinct/First Watch:
On 06-08-2021 at 0955 hours, a known suspect discharged himself during a mental health evaluation at a local hospital and attempted to carjack a UPS vehicle outside. He failed and fled on foot northbound with his dog where he encountered a second victim. The suspect opened the door of a second vehicle, put his dog inside and then forced the elderly female victim out of the vehicle. The suspect then fled with the vehicle. A few minutes later, the Washington State Patrol notified SPD of a hit and run that occurred in Bellevue with a suspect fleeing on foot with a dog. The vehicle was confirmed to be the same as the recently stolen. The suspect was not located. Robbery detectives were notified and responded. The vehicle was not drivable and towed to process for prints.
#2021-141911/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 06-08-2021 at 1603 hours, SPD officers, SPD’s Arson Bomb Squad (ABS) and Seattle Fire responded to a large structure fire in an abandoned building. Due to the size of the fire and the condition of the building, firefighters were unable to enter. ABS detectives were on-scene gathering relevant video and witness information for the on-going investigation.
#2021-142207/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 06-08-2021 at 2138 hours, officers responded to the area of MLK Jr Way and E Yesler Way for multiple shots heard. There were multiple callers reporting the shots. Officers were unable to locate any fleeing suspects, or suspect vehicles. No injured parties arrived at any area hospitals. Evidence was located at the scene. The Gun Violence Reduction Unit was notified.
