Man Injured in Saturday Morning Queen Anne Shooting

A 68-year-old man was shot in the shoulder early Saturday morning at a motel in Queen Anne.

At approximately 3:40 a.m., a man flagged down an officer near the intersection of Valley Street and 6th Avenue North and reported he’d been shot. The man said he is an employee at a motel in the 2400 block of Aurora Avenue North. He stated he’d gotten in a brief argument with a guest, who then shot him in the shoulder. The officer treated the victim’s gunshot wound until Seattle Fire Medics arrived and transported the man to Harborview Medical Center.

Police returned to the scene to collect evidence and search for witnesses. The suspect was not located.
