Investigators believe nearly 50 rounds were fired in a shooting in South Lake Union late Tuesday.
Around 11:40 PM police received 911 reports of gunfire in the 900 block of Thomas Street.
Witnesses reported seeing three men—at least one of whom was reportedly wearing a ski mask—open fire on the street before fleeing.
Police arrived within a minute of the first 911 calls. Officers were unable to locate any injured victims but noted damage to numerous buildings and vehicles in the area. Officers recovered nearly 50 shell casings in the area.
Officers located a firearm and impounded a vehicle at the scene. SPD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit is investigating.
