Police Investigating Wednesday Afternoon Stabbing in SODO

Police are investigating after a man was stabbed near T-Mobile Park on Wednesday afternoon.

At 4:35 p.m., a King County Sherriff’s Deputy was flagged down north of the intersection of 4th Avenue South and South Royal Brougham Way by a man who said he had been stabbed in the stomach. Seattle Fire Department Medics responded to the scene and transported the 50-year-old man to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.

SPD officers spoke with several people in the area who said the stabbing may have happened in the encampment on the west side of the street. Police searched the area but did not locate a scene. The victim provided limited details about the suspect.

Detectives will continue to investigate this incident.
