#2021-266023/North Precinct/First Watch:

On 10-08-2021 at 0341 hours, a victim was approached by two unknown suspects. Victim was knocked to the ground, beaten, then shot by one of the suspects. Suspects fled with victim’s motorcycle and other items. Victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Robbery detectives responded to the scene and HMC. Detective will have follow-up responsibilities.

#2021-266039/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

On 10-08-2021 at 0539 hours, the victim and suspect know each other. At the 9000 BLK of 20 Ave SW, the suspect assaulted the victim and took her cell phone. The suspect then damaged the victim’s other property and left the location. Officers located the suspect at the 9000 BLK of Delridge WY SW. The victim’s phone was recovered. The suspect was arrested for robbery and transported to King County Jail.

On 10-08-2021 at 0758 hours, the victim, a delivery driver, was parked and at the trunk of his car when he was approached by the suspect, who was armed with a handgun. The suspect assaulted the victim and took his car. Robbery detectives responded to Swedish Ballard to interview victim. Detective has follow-up responsibilities.

#2021-266203/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 10-08-2021 at 0914 hours, officers were flagged down by a subject (victim) who advised another male (suspect) just pointed a firearm at him. The subject pointed out the suspect and suspect’s vehicle. Officer conducted a felony stop on the vehicle and detained a driver and a front passenger (witness). During the chaotic scene, there were five subjects involved. Other parties involved advised the victim was being aggressive inside a convenience store and was not wearing a face mask. One of the witnesses asked the victim to back away and the victim became verbally aggressive towards the witness. The suspect (driver from stopped vehicle) intervened and began yelling at the victim. The suspect produced a handgun and pointed the firearm at the victim’s head and walked the victim backwards. The suspect fled the store and entered a vehicle, along with a passenger, where they were stopped by police. Evidence confirmed the suspect was armed with a handgun and pointed it at the victim’s head. The suspect is a convicted felon, has previous conviction for unlawful possession of a firearm, and robbery. The suspect refused to give consent to search the vehicle and denied having a firearm. The vehicle was secured and transported pending a search warrant. Officers will execute a search warrant on the vehicle and recover the firearm at the start of the shift on October 9th, 2021. The suspect was booked for investigation of assault and charges will be added for unlawful possession of a firearm pending the results of the search warrant.

#2021-266249/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

On 10-08-2021 at 1012 hours, an incident occurred at the 4000 BLK of California Ave SW. The suspect walked inside the store and attempted to walk behind the counter. The store employee blocked her, and the suspect grabbed lighters. The suspect left the store and got inside her vehicle. The victim followed the suspect to the gas pumps. The suspect backed up her vehicle, and intentionally pulled forward towards the victim. The suspect clipped the victim with her vehicle knocking him to the ground. The victim had abrasions on the right side of his body. The victim denied medical treatment. Officers conducted an extensive area search, but the suspect wasn’t located. The victim sent evidence of the incident to the primary officer.

#2021-266793/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-08-2021 at 2126 hours, a 2012 Ford Fusion driven by a 28-year-old male was southbound on Airport Way S in the 4800 block. At the same time a scooter (lime rental) was northbound weaving in and out of the southbound and northbound lanes of travel. The driver of the vehicle attempted to avoid a collision with the scooter rider but was unable to do so and struck him head on. The scooter rider was a 46-year-old male who was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment for his injuries. The driver was evaluated by a DRE, who determined he was not impaired.
