#2021-272652/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 10-15-2021 at 0232 hours, officers were clearing from a separate assault call when they on-viewed a verbal disturbance. When officers separated the subjects, one of the subjects pushed an officer with both hands. The push caused the officer to stumble backwards towards a brick wall. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into King County Jail for Assault-3rd without incident. The officer was uninjured.
#2021-272749/South Precinct/First Watch:
On 10-15-2021 at 0637 hours, Port of Seattle was out earlier at pier 46 for this person but was unable to locate him. Subject turned up at a private but not secure parking lot, naked armed with a piece of rebar. Struck two car windshields, broke two door windows, and went down a barnacle-covered ladder into the Puget Sound. SPD was called and located the subject on the ladder. The location was of risk to SPD and Seattle Fire, so a boat was required to reach him safely. SPD Harbor was en route. A Coast Guard boat with 2 unarmed MP’s motored out and took the subject into custody, turned him over to SPD on the pier where SFD was able to triage him. Subject taken to Harborview Medical Center (HMC) for follow up treatment for his apparent chemical induced behavior. Subject to be booked to King County Jail for Investigation of Malicious Mischief upon his release from HMC.
#2021-273102/South Precinct/Second Watch:
On 10-15-2021 at 1307 hours, Patrol and Seattle Fire were dispatched to a report of a male chasing another male with a machete. Officers arrived and ascertained that the victim had been using his machete to clear the area around his encampment when the known suspect approached him and slashed at him with a 6-inch fixed blade knife causing a laceration to his hand before fleeing on foot. Patrol units acted as containment while CRG assisted K913 on a track. The suspect is still at large. The victim was transported by AMR to an area hospital after being treated by Seattle Fire on scene.
#2021-273495/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 10-15-2021 at 2100 hours, a resident of the permanent supportive housing located in the 300 Marion St got angry at a staff member and made threats to assault the staff member while using a racial pejorative to describe the victim. The victim articulated how he believed the threat was based upon his racial status and not a mere added insult. The suspect was not present and not located. Screened with LT.
