#2021-279022/North Precinct/First Watch:

On 10-21-2021 at 0600 hours, detectives from the Gun Violence Reduction Unit assigned as TFO’s with the ATF, along with special agents from the ATF and DEA, served a search warrant today resulting in the recovery of two rifles, one handgun, and a quantity of meth and fentanyl.

#2021-278930/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 10-21-2021 at 0809 hours, officers responded to an assault call. Upon arrival the victim explained that while he was escorting a female from the location, she called him numerous racial slurs. As they neared the exit, she turned back and attacked him with her fists before fleeing. Area checked clear.

#2021-279053/South Precinct/First Watch:

On 10-21-2021 at 0900 hours, Detectives from the Gun Violence Reduction Unit assigned as TFO’s with the US Marshal’s Service, along with agents from the USMS, located and arrested a suspect wanted on felony warrants.

#2021-279126/East Precinct/First Watch:

On 10-21-2021 at 1120 hours, a suspect entered a bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. The note indicated that the suspect was armed with a gun. The teller told the suspect she had to go to the vault and walked away. The suspect waited at the window until he heard approaching sirens and then walked out of the bank. Responding officers located the suspect and he was arrested without incident. this suspect is also responsible for a bank robbery on 6/29/21. (2021-162647) Detective interviewed the suspect at headquarters where he confessed to both bank robberies.

#2021-279099/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-21-2021 at 1400 hours, officers responded to a report of property damage to a vehicle. Upon arrival officers were informed that the victim’s semitruck had been struck with one round in the rear passenger side of the vehicle. No one was hit. The property was damaged between 1050 hours on 10-20-21 and 1400 hours on 10-21-21. No suspect information was available.

#2021-279318/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-21-2021 at 1431 hours, a male had his truck-5th wheel trailer positioned east west across 37 Av s behind his residence located in the 8000 blk 36 Av S. He was attempting to back the trailer from the city street into his fenced backyard. While backing, the driver was made aware he had struck something. He exited the truck and unbeknownst to him a 72-year-old adult male family member was outside the passenger side of the trailer and had been pinned and was significantly injured. Seattle Fire responded and pronounced the pedestrian deceased. A Drug Recognition Expert evaluated the driver, no signs of impairment were detected. Traffic Collision Investigation Squad Detectives responded and conducted a scene investigation. Seattle Fire Chaplain responded to the scene to assist the family.

#2021-279549/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-21-2021 at 1807 hours, officers responded to an assault call between two females who were out front of a residence in a physical fight. The suspect was gone upon the officers’ arrival. The victim said this incident started as a parking dispute. The suspect’s car was blocking the entrance to the parking garage. When the victim tried to get past the suspect’s car to get into the parking garage, the suspect started yelling at the victim. The argument escalated into a physical assault. The victim said she felt she was assaulted because of her race.

#2021-279589/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 10-21-2021 at 1900 hours, officers responded to a serious vehicle/pedestrian collision in the SODO neighborhood. The investigation revealed that the pedestrian was crossing 4th Av S against the light. A vehicle that had a green light travelling southbound did not see the pedestrian and struck them. Seattle Fire responded to the scene and eventually transported the pedestrian to Harborview Medical Center in a Medic unit with serious life-threatening injuries. Traffic Collision Investigation Squad was consulted, and the responding officers completed the investigation.

#2021-279613/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-21-2021 at 1828 hours, an adult male was jaywalking on Renton Av S. A gold 4 door Cadillac was traveling SB on Renton Av S and struck the male. The victim/pedestrian was unconscious after the collision. Medic One responded and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center. Traffic Collision Investigation Squad screened this incident. Patrol processed the scene.

#2021-279682/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-21-2021 at 2122 hours, a suspect who has preyed on a victim’s family in the past, arrived at the victim’s home while the victim was unloading their car. The suspect pointed a gun at the victim and grabbed for the victim’s purse. A short tug-of-war ensued over the purse with the suspect winning and the victim falling, subsequently causing minor injuries to the victim’s legs. The victim got up and chased the suspect on foot, then the suspect jumped into their car and sped away. Several thousand dollars in cash was in the victim’s purse. Robbery was notified.
