#2021-288852/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 10-31-2021 at 0123 hours, officers were dispatched to the SODO Denny’s Restaurant regarding a male assaulting a female. Officers quickly arrived and arrested the male for assault. The suspect, a convicted felon, hid a (stolen) gun under a car but it was located by officers. Officers also found crack cocaine on him. The suspect was arrested for VUCSA (distribute); VUFA and Assault. At the time of this SIR, the suspect is currently under hospital guard at Harborview Medical Center. He will be booked into KC Jail upon release from HMC.
#2021-288932/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
On 10-31-2021 at 0400 hours, a suspect walked into the 7-11 at the 3200 BLK of SW Avalon WY. The suspect walked around the 7-11, and possibly grabbed food and masks. The suspect waited for all the customers to leave, and he walked up to the victim and demanded money. The victim told the suspect no. The suspect implied that he had a gun and became verbally aggressive. The suspect took approximately $100.00 in cash, cigarettes, and possibly food and masks. The suspect left the store on foot, but it is unknown if he had a car parked nearby. Guardian 1 was requested, but they weren’t in service. Containment was set up, and K9 responded. K9 conducted an extensive track, but the suspect wasn’t located. The Robbery Unit was notified about the incident.
#2021-289114/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
On 10-31-2021 at 1027 hours, two suspects walked inside the Bed Bath and Beyond located at the 2600 BLK of SW Barton St. Suspect #1 (S#1) walked to the kitchen aid section and grabbed a pasta roller machine (valued at $199.99). S#1 pulled out a yellow blow torch and burned the security tag. An employee smelled the burning and confronted the suspect. The employee asked S#1 if he needed assistance. S#1 concealed the pasta roller and walked towards the employee with the blow torch. The employee feared for her safety, so she left the area. S#1 left the store with the stolen item. Officers conducted an area search but didn’t locate S#1. S#2 was detained and released from the scene. Officers recovered evidence.
#2021-289184/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 10-31-2021 at 1226 hours, officers on viewed a disturbance on 8th AV near Virginia ST. The victim stated that she had been struck by the suspect with a stick. Officers recovered the stick and booked the suspect into King County Jail. While at KCJ, the suspect stated that she had assaulted the victim due to her race. The victim did not have any apparent injuries.
#2021-289384/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 10-31-2021 at 1655 hours, officers responded to the report of a subject shot near 12 and Jackson. Officers located two subjects down, both with gunshot wounds to their legs. One victim was shot multiple times in both legs, and the second victim sustained one gunshot to his leg. Officers applied tourniquets to the victims and along with Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives processed the scene. Both victims were transported to Harborview Medical Center by Seattle Fire.
