#2021-296354/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 11-08-2021 at 0244 hours, officers responded to a report of shots fired. Evidence of a shooting was located, however no victims, property damage, or suspects were located. Report forwarded to Gun Violence Reduction Unit.
#2021-296697/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 11-08-2021 at 1140 hours, an individual walked into a bank in the 4200 block of SW Edmonds, approached the teller, and told her, “give me all your money or I will f-ing kill you”. The suspect has an account at that particular bank, so the teller knew who he was. He left with no money. The suspect is known to officers and suffers from mental illness. Officers attempted to contact him at his residence, but he was not located. The event was screened through Robbery.
#2021-296697/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
(additional information to SIR above) Officers responded to a bank robbery in the 4200 block of SW Edmunds St. The suspect, who was a customer of the bank, told the teller to give him money or he was going to kill her. When the teller refused to give him any money, the suspect fled the scene on foot. The same suspect entered a store nearby from the rear entrance. The victim said the suspect was very aggressive and threatened to kill the employee because she asked him to put a mask on. When he refused, the victim asked the suspect to leave. The suspect refused to leave. The suspect’s behavior escalated, and he threatened to kill the victim as he was reaching into his jacket as if he was reaching for a weapon. The victim said she was terrified of the suspect’s threat and action. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. The suspect was later located at his residence in the 9400 block of California Ave SW after officers were dispatched to this location because the suspect had threatened to kill other residents and pulled the fire alarm. The suspect barricaded himself inside his apartment. Hostage Negotiation Team was requested and responded to assisted with negations. A search warrant was obtained. Officers served the warrant on his residence. The suspect was arrested for Investigation of Burglary, Investigation of Robbery, and Investigation of Assault X 3. During transport to King County Jail via AMR, the suspect spat on an officer and two AMR personnel.
#2021-296780/East Precinct/Second Watch:
On 11-08-2021 at 1342 hours, officers responded to a stabbing at an encampment at a local park. The victim had apparently been in the suspect’s tent without her permission and as she was exiting the tent, the suspect stabbed her once in the back. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries and the suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail for assault 2.
#2021-297143/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 11-08-2021 at 2120 hours, a male suspect appears to have been in a fight with a female in the 1000 block of E Pike St. The female ended up on the ground with the suspect walking away. Two uninvolved bystanders attempted to render aid to the female victim when the male returned. The suspect brandished an AR15 style firearm, threatening to kill the 2 uninvolved if they did not leave. Patrol officers were able to locate the male suspect who was tagging a building with “13”. A positive identification was conducted by the victims. Through investigation, officers learned the suspect’s vehicle was a block away. Within view, officers located several magazines and the stock to the firearm. The vehicle was impounded with approval pending a search warrant service. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail. The female victim of the original assault fled the area prior to police arrival.
