#2022-052376/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 03-02-2022 at 0455 hours, employees responded to a commercial alarm and discovered the glass door to the business had been shattered. They were able to view live surveillance video and discovered someone was still inside. Once the building was contained, officers searched the building and contacted a suspect inside. She was taken into custody and the rest of the building was cleared. The suspect was booked into King County Jail for Burglary.

#2022-052625/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 03-02-2022 at 1136 hours, a suspect approached a female stranger and shoved her down the stairs to the International District light rail station. The victim suffered significant injuries. Suspect left on a bus and was seen via video exiting the bus in the area of 12/Jackson. At around that time a stabbing was reported near 12/Jackson with a similar suspect description (KCSO investigating the stabbing). Homicide unit notified. Suspect was not located.

#2022-052633/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 03-02-2022 at 1150 hours, a suspect approached a female victim just south of 12/Jackson and stabbed her in the neck multiple times. Suspect then fled. KCSO took the call as it happened in a bus stop. Officers were able to link this suspect to another assault nearby and were able to identify a possible suspect. Victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center and is expected to survive. Suspect was not located. Homicide notified.

#2022-052712/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 03-02-2022 at 1318 hours, a male victim was inside a department store when the suspect began yelling homophobic slurs at him. The suspect then punched the victim in the face causing injury. Suspect left the store and was followed by security, who watched as the suspect assaulted two other victims. Security then took the suspect to the ground and handcuffed her. Officers arrived a short time later and took over control of suspect. Suspect kicked an officer several times, causing pain but no injury. Type 1 complaint of pain completed. Suspect was booked for Hate Crime and assault 3.

#2022-053089/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 03-02-2022 at 2145 hours, the suspect in this incident lit a rubbish fire inside the interior hallway of an occupied building. The fire was quickly extinguished by staff before it could spread. The suspect was arrested and booked for arson. No significant property damage or injuries to report. SPD’s Arson Bomb Squad detectives responded and will handle the follow-up.

#2022-053125/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 03-02-2022 at 2235 hours, the victims were at home in the family room when four armed suspects kicked in their front door. The suspects demanded money, but the family had no significant amounts of cash in the residence. The suspects took a Louis Vuitton bag and left the residence. SPD K9 tracked from the residence through the back alley to the next adjacent roadway where the dog located a glove that was likely used by the suspects.
