On 03-12-2022 at 1725 hours, a security officer working in the U-District called 911 while following a shoplifter-turned-armed robbery suspect from a retail store on The Ave. The suspect left the store with unpaid merchandise. When the security officer told the suspect to return the property, the suspect brandished a knife at him and warned him that he wasn’t giving anything back.
