#2022-080768/West Precinct/Second Watch:
04-01-2022 at 1308 hours, a 57-year-old female was driving southbound on 2 Ave Ext S. The driver was pulling into a parking lot located on the east side of 2 Ave Ext S just north of S. Jackson St. As the driver pulled into the parking lot, she ran over a 44-year-old male who was lying on the sidewalk. Review of evidence showed that the male pedestrian had stumbled and fallen approximately 3 mins prior to the collision. The male was trapped under the vehicle and extricated by Seattle Fire. SFD began CPR and transported him to Harborview Medical Center. While at the scene, patrol updated that the pedestrian was listed in stable condition.
#2022-080453/South Precinct/First Watch On 04-01-22 at 4:45 hours, the victim and suspect had an altercation in the basement level of a parking garage. The victim punched the suspect in the face. The suspect pulled out a pistol and shot the victim in the leg. The suspect fled on foot. Officers located the victim and applied a tourniquet. SFD arrived continued treatment and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg. Officers checked the area but were unable to find the suspect. |
#2022-80463/South Precinct/First Watch On 04-01-2022 at 05:06 hours, the suspect was inside the Safeway located at the 3800 block of Rainier Ave S and filled his cart up with items. The suspect walked past all points of sale. The manager confronted the suspect and told him that he needs to pay for the items. The suspect pulled out a long knife and made threats to stab the manager. The manager backed off and the suspect left the store. Officers arrived and conducted an area search and were unable to locate the suspect. |
#2022-080252/West Precinct/Third Watch On 3-31-2022 at 10 p.m., an employee at a car rental agency was cleaning the interior of a vehicle within the 7/Pike parking garage when he was approached by the suspect. The male suspect raised a bag towards the victim and stated, “Give me everything you got.” The victim believed the suspect was concealing a gun in the bag and feared for his life. The victim advised that he had nothing and dropped the keys to the rental car. The suspect picked-up the keys, entered the car, and fled the area. The rental agency manager was able to track the stolen vehicle via GPS. Officers located the parked car at 13/S Lane with the suspect still in the driver’s seat. Officers located fentanyl and methamphetamine on the suspect and processed him for driving under the influence and robbery. |
#22-079773/North Precinct/Second Watch On 3-31-2022 at 12:48 p.m., a detective spotted a vehicle involved in suspected luring and eluding incidents. Officers attempted to stop the driver, but the suspect did not comply and fled the scene. Because a large quantity of wooden pallets were stacked on the vehicle, officers were able to follow the vehicle from afar. With the help of other law enforcement agencies, police were able to arrest the suspect for eluding and driving with a suspended license. |
#2022-079815/East Precinct/Second Watch On 3-31-2022 at 1:36 p.m., a staff member at a school in the 300 block of 21st Avenue East reported a person in crisis was yelling and causing a disturbance on the school’s playground. Staff updated police that the person had made threats to students. Staff ushered children into the building and went into shelter in place. SPD Patrol and Crisis Response Team units quickly converged into the area and detained the suspect. The suspect was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. |
#2022-079881/West Precinct/Second Watch On 3-31-2022 at 02:49 p.m., officers observed a subject stealing from a local business. While attempting to detain the subject, who was actively resisting them, one officer received minor injuries. The subject was taken into custody and booked for Assault 3. The officer’s injuries were treated on scene by AMR. |
