#2022-093824/South Precinct/First Watch:
On 04-15-2022 at 0656 hours, Seattle Fire Department personnel request an expedited police response in South Seattle. Officers arrived and found a male lying on the ground passed out with a pistol underneath him. Officers were able to get the suspect into handcuffs and secured the 9mm pistol the suspect possessed. A search of the area near where the suspect was found was conducted and evidence of a shooting was located. Further investigation revealed that the suspect had fired two times at a random person walking by prior to Seattle Fire arriving in the area. Officers canvassed the area for the victim and were able to locate him inside his converted ambulance nearby where the shooting occurred. The victim was not injured during this incident. The suspect was transported to Harborview Medical Center for medical treatment for suspected narcotics use and booking into King County Jail for Assault 1st Degree and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm is pending clearance from the hospital.
#2022-094289/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 04-15-2022 at 1628 hours, Arson Bomb Squad (ABS) responded to a request from Patrol regarding a suspicious device. Three PVC pipes were intertwined with metal wiring. ABS determined the pipes were empty and was probably leftover debris from a nearby construction site.
