#2022-118817/South Precinct/First Watch
On 05-12-2022 at 3:24 AM, officers responded to an alarm call at an elementary school, which is currently under construction, in the 3200 block of 23rd Avenue South. Officers and a K9 team responded and arrested two suspects for burglary.
| #2022-118553/North Precinct/Third WatchOn 05-11-2022 at 1935 hours, multiple 911 callers reported gunfire, and told dispatchers and a vehicle had crashed into a tree before its occupants fled on foot. Officers arrived, contacted an occupant of the vehicle, and learned he had been targeted in a road rage shooting. Officers were able to find evidence corroborating the victim’s story. Police then received a 911 call from a second man, who reported the first man had shot at his vehicle. Police met with the second man and determined he had, in fact, fired a gun, damaging the inside of his own vehicle. Police arrested the second driver and seized his firearm, determined to be a ghost gun. |
| #2022-118766/South Precinct/Third WatchOn 05-12-2022 at 0052 hours, officers responded to a carjacking near South Othello Street and Rainier Avenue South. Officers arrived and contacted the victim, who reported a suspect had approached him as he was getting gas, implied he had a gun, and stole the victim’s car. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. |
