#2022-148289/North Precinct/First Watch
On 6-11-22 at 0349, officers were dispatched to a domestic violence harassment call involving a firearm in the 11200 block of Greenwood Avenue North. Officers began working to arrest the suspect for felony harassment and a firearms violation. Police formed a crisis team and contacted the suspect who proceeded to barricade himself in his apartment. Negotiators and SWAT responded and, just as police were preparing to serve a warrant, the suspect surrendered. Officers recovered a handgun the suspect had used during the incident. Officers arrested the man and took him to an area hospital for treatment before booking him into jail.
#2022-148649/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch
On 6-11-22 at approximately 1400, officers were searching for a suspect wanted for armed carjacking and eluding police. Officers located the man mowing his lawn outside of his home and took him into custody. Police booked him into jail.
#2022-149042/North Precinct/Third Watch
On 6-11-22 at 2105 officers located a van used in an armed carjacking and discovered the vehicle’s plates and the vehicle itself had been reported stolen. The occupant of the vehicle fled from police on foot. Police were unable to locate the occupant but recovered the vehicle and continue to investigate.
