#2022-153415/North Precinct/First Watch:
On 06-16-2022 at 0634 hours, a passerby requested a welfare check on male asleep at a gas pump. Officers arrive and learned, the male had been there for about 3 hours. Prior to officers contacting the sleeping male they noticed a glock magazine sticking up next to the male’s hand. They backed away and began attempts to contact the driver via PA. A female passenger woke up and moved around but didn’t exit the vehicle. Male and female refused to exit the vehicle. HNT responded. No crime could be established, all patrol units left the scene with vehicle and occupants still there.
#2022-153581/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
On 06-16-2022 at 1021 hours, a male victim was walking at the 5000 BLK of California Ave SW (between SW Dawson St and SW Hudson St) at approximately 0600, and an unknown male walked up to him. The suspect demanded money and punched the victim in the jaw. The suspect then struck the victim with a baseball bat. The victim fell unconscious. The victim eventually woke up and walked home. The suspect didn’t take anything because the victim didn’t have any money on him. The victim had a broken jaw and possible head injury. Seattle Fire responded to treat the victim, and he was transported by AMR to HMC. Robbery was notified about the incident, and they will conduct a follow up. The area will be canvassed for evidence.
#2022-153659/South Precinct/Second Watch:
On 06-16-2022 at 1153 hours, a church in the 2800 block of S Massachusetts St was hosting a pre-school aged bike riding camp. One of the staff members witnessed a suspect approach the campus. The suspect requested to use the portable restrooms, and when told, “no” the victim stated the unknown suspect lifted his shirt and exposed a possible firearm tucked into his waist band. He then made verbal threats to kill/shoot everyone there before walking away. He was reported to have been seen rummaging through a vehicle parked nearby. He was contacted within one block from the church and arrested. A search warrant was obtained for the vehicle, no gun was located inside after service. At the time of this SIR the gun in question was not located. K9 was called out and has been searching the area.
