#2022-209755/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 08-09-2022 at 2257 hours, two Patrol units were blocking two lanes of traffic on 15 AV W just south of W Garfield ST for a collision investigation with emergency lights activated. A suspected DUI driver straddling lanes struck both patrol cars causing significant damage and taking them out of service. One unit was occupied by an officer who struck his head on the interior of the car. Seattle Fire arrived and transported the officer to HMC where he was later released. The DUI driver was booked into KCJ.
