Police recovered a rifle and arrested a man after he fired a gun near Jefferson Golf Course on Beacon Hill Wednesday morning.
At approximately 06:35 AM, Seattle Police received multiple calls about a shooting near Beacon Avenue South and Cheasty Avenue South. Officers arrived on scene and located a witness, who reported the driver of a red van had fired several shots toward the golf course.
Officers searched the area and located the red van with the suspect inside. After arresting the man, police recovered one bolt action rifle inside the vehicle. There were no reported injuries.
Officers booked the 48-year-old man into the King County Jail for drive by shooting.
