Detectives are investigating after one man was killed and another was critically injured in a shooting in Columbia City on Saturday evening.
At 6:03 p.m., 911 callers reported hearing shots fired in the 3000 block of South Bradford Street. Officers arrived and found two apparently adult male victims. One of the men suffered a fatal gunshot wound and Seattle Fire Department medics declared him deceased at the scene. Medics transported the second man to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
Witnesses provided varying information about suspects leaving the scene, and police continue to investigate those accounts.
Members of SPD’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to process the scene for evidence.
Homicide Detectives also responded and will lead the ongoing investigation.
