A man was wounded in a stabbing Tuesday evening in South Seattle.
Around 8:30 p.m., a man called 911 and reported he’d been stabbed near 23rd Avenue South and South Holgate Street.
Officers arrived and provided medical aid to the victim until Seattle Fire medics took over at the scene.
Police learned the victim was smoking a cigarette at a bus stop when another man approached him and asked for a cigarette. The victim declined and the suspect stabbed the victim in the arm.
Medics transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
