#2022-281277/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 10-18-2022, a high school reported a student made a google search that was construed as a bomb threat. The assistant principal brought the student into the office on 10-19-2022. The student admitted to the google search and was searched in the office. The student had four knives on his person. He was expelled from the school and went home with his father. The assistant principal requested police respond to collect the knives and arrest the student. Officers went to the student’s resident and arrested him without incident. He was transported to YSC and booked. ABS was notified.
#2022-281398/South Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1500 hours, two suspects forced entry into a residence located in the 8400 BLK of Renton AV S. The occupant/resident is an elderly female, who was home alone. The suspects were wearing masks. Once the suspects entered the home, they pushed the female to the ground. The suspects rifled through several drawers and cabinets in the home. The suspects left and the victim called 911. The suspects stole approximately $1000 in cash and the victim’s passport. A K9 track was unsuccessful in locating the suspects. Officers canvassed the area for witnesses and evidence. Seattle Fire responded to treat the victim for reported pain from her fall.
#2022-281677/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2215 hours, Sound Transit security discovered a suspicious package and notified SPD. Patrol arrived, secured the area, and requested SPD Bomb Squad. Bomb Techs arrived and determined the package to be non-hazardous.
#2022-281723/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2323 hours, a male who lives in the basement of a house, had his pistol in a holster that was attached to his sweatpants. Apparently unaware that there was a round chambered in the firearm, the victim attempted to remove the handgun and accidentally fired a round through his right thigh and into the floor. A witness provided aid until officers and Seattle Fire arrived. The victim was transported to HMC by SFD medics in stable condition. Officers collected the firearm at a family member’s request.
