#2022-282736/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 10-20-2022 at 1036 hours, officers reported hearing gunshots in the area of 12200 Block Aurora Av N, to the east. Officers were contacted by an employee who heard and observed shots in the area behind the lot on Stone Av N coming from a vehicle. Officers contacted two individuals in the area who were on scene when shooting occurred. They advised a male was in the vehicle and fired multiple rounds out of his car before driving away. They were interviewed and released from scene. Evidence of a shooting was submitted. Shooter was not located.
#2022-282420/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1546 hours, UW Hospital called to report a walk-in patient had a gunshot wound. The victim reported that he is homeless and was sleeping on a bench in a Metro bus shelter somewhere in the area of 140th/Lake City Way NE when he was awakened by a loud bang and realized he had been shot. He said a friend drove by and gave him a ride to the hospital but left before SPD was notified. He had no information about possible suspects, couldn’t specify the location of the scene, and was inconsistent with the timing of the incident. Dispatch could not find any other reports of a shooting or disturbance in the area. The injury was not life-threatening.
#2022-282473/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1654 hours, officers responded to 3 Ave/ Cherry St. for a report of man with a gun pointing it at a victim’s head. Officers arrived, established a clear description of the suspect, which lead to the suspect and his companion’s apprehension a few blocks north. The suspect was booked for investigation of assault 2 and the companion was I & Rd for assault 4. A gun was recovered and placed into evidence.
#2022-282686/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2120 hours, officers responded to a robbery. Officers arrived and interviewed store security who stated employees at the store recognized the suspects from previous incidents. The suspects took a shopping cart full of items to the exit and when approached by security the suspect pulled out a knife. Security backed away from the suspects and called 911. The suspects left the area in a vehicle prior to officers’ arrival. An area check was negative for the suspects.
#2022-282765/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2251 hours, officers were on scene of a DUI when they heard multiple shots coming from area of NE 125 St/ 33 Av NE. A separate complainant reported observing a shooting at that location. Officers responded, formed a contact team, and approached the intersection. Male matching the description was detained, however it was later determined that he was not the shooter. Male was interviewed and released from precinct. Evidence of a shooting was located at scene as well suspected narcotics. Shooter not located.
