#2022-290689/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 10-29-2022 at 0250 hours, Seattle Fire requested SPD respond to a suspicious fire at 1239 S King St. Several pallets and large cardboard bundles had been lit on fire in front of the business. No suspect info. Fire Marshal responded and contacted SPD ABS.
#2022-290948/East Precinct/First Watch:
At 1028 hours, officers responded to a Capitol Hill gas station for a report of an ex-employee with a Molotov cocktail. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. Officers located the suspect in his apartment building less than a block away. The suspect refused to obey officers’ commands and surrender himself. HNT responded and began communicating with the suspect with no success. A search warrant was issued for the suspect. Patrol resources served the warrant, and the suspect was taken safely into custody. ABS responded to collect the incendiary device. Screened with SWAT/ABS.
#2022-291095/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1347 hours, an unidentified suspect tried to leave a grocery store in the 7300 block of Roosevelt Way NE with stolen merchandise. An employee tried to grab the merchandise, but the suspect brandished a large knife and fought with the employee until the suspect could flee with some of the stolen goods. The employee was uninjured. Witnesses reported seeing the suspect fleeing e/b on foot from 11th NE/NE 73rd St but an area check was negative.
