Police Recover Stolen Car Taken From Children’s Hospital, Find Guns, Drugs, Cash

Officers conducted a stolen vehicle recovery operation Friday throughout the city.  During the operation officers located a vehicle they believed to be stolen. Officers began to mobile this vehicle to further investigate, when the driver erratically drove in an attempt to get away and eventually parked in a parking lot in Queen Anne.  Uniformed officers moved in to investigate the vehicle when the suspect put the vehicle in drive and attempted to push his way through two patrol cars.

The driver exited the car and attempted to run away. Officers quickly arrested the suspect without further incident.

During the investigation, it was determined this vehicle was recently stolen from Seattle Children’s Hospital while a family waited for their child to recover from brain surgery.  In addition to recovering the stolen vehicle officers located two loaded firearms (1 stolen), methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, and $8,000.
