Officers arrested a 49-year-old felon and recovered two firearms after he attempted to run from officers Thursday morning.
An officer patrolling the 1000 block of South Dearborn Street around 4 am spotted a man he knew had a $10,000 warrant for Driving Under the Influence. The officer ordered the man to stop, but he ran away. The officer quickly took the man into custody without further incident. The officer searched the man and found two loaded handguns. The man is a convicted felon and prohibited from having firearms.
Police booked the man into King County Jail for firearms charges and his DUI Warrant.
