One man was wounded in a stabbing in Ballard late Tuesday.
At 11:55 p.m., police received a report that a man had been stabbed near Northwest 48th Street and Leary Avenue Northwest. Officers found the victim, a 42-year-old man, and provided medical aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived.
The victim told police he had stopped in the area to visit a friend at his RV when the suspect emerged from another nearby RV and approached the victim.
The suspect got into an argument with the victim, which escalated until suspect stabbed the victim in the arm and struck him in the head with a rock. The suspect also pulled out a gun, pointed it at the victim, and threatened to shoot him. The victim fled and called 911.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Police continue to investigate.
Medics transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries
