#2023-011890/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 01-13-2023 at 0154 hours, officers responded to the 2600 Block SW Barton St for a trespass. The suspect was identified and found to have a Department of Corrections warrant. The officers took the suspect into custody without incident. While conducting a search of the suspect, he turned toward officers and spit directly into the face of the officer completing the search. The suspect was transported and booked into KCJ for investigation of malicious mischief, assault 3, and his warrant. While at King County Jail awaiting intake, the suspect kicked the escorting officer several times. The officer was not injured during the incident.
#2023-012721/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2001 hours, a suspect brandished a knife at a victim and took the victim’s book. Victim reported the robbery to an armed security guard. The guard followed the suspect until officers arrived. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. The knife was recovered as was the book. The victim of the robbery left the scene. Additional victims were located who reported that the suspect threatened them with the knife. The suspect was arrested and booked into KCJ for investigation of robbery and harassment.
