Detectives are investigating after two men were shot and killed in Georgetown early Thursday morning.

At 12:09 a.m., police responded to 5th Avenue South and South Michigan Street for reports of a person shot. Officers arrived and found two men in a vehicle with fatal gunshot wounds. EMT-trained officers and Seattle Fire Department medics determined life saving measures were not feasible and SFD medics declared both men deceased at the scene.

Members of SPD’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to process the scene for evidence.

Homicide Detectives also responded and will lead the ongoing investigation.
