#2023-03919/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 02-03-2023 at 0117 hours, officers responded to a report of shots fired at a smoke shop located at Rainier Av S/S Dakota St. Officers spoke with a witness who stated he was leaving and heard two unknown males arguing. Witness didn’t pay much attention to the argument and heard a shot ring out. Witness left his running vehicle and fled on foot to safety. Witness returned moments later to find everyone gone as well as his vehicle. Officers located the witness’s vehicle a couple of blocks away in a parking lot still running and his cell phone gone. Officers were unable to locate any victims or property damage. Officers located evidence of a shooting that was photographed, collected and entered into evidence. GVRU was notified.
#2023-032094/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1200 hours, CRG and MCTF collaborated on an investigation of a narcotics dealer in the Belltown neighborhood over the past few weeks which culminated in today’s operation with the suspect’s arrest, the seizure of his vehicle (with a second suspect arrested in the vehicle), and a warrant served on his residence (a third suspect located inside). All three were subsequently booked for VUCSA Delivery/Manufacturing. In total the following was seized: 55.9g crack cocaine, 1.4g cocaine, 2.6g methamphetamine, several forged passports, and $4,615 cash. Suspect three also had a felony warrant for VUCSA.
#2023-032851/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2108 hours, calls received reporting 10 shots in the area of 23 Ave S/S Dearborn. Officers located an occupied residence with several bullet holes. Evidence of a shooting was recovered. One occupant of the residence sustained a superficial injury, likely from flying debris.
