Police are investigating after a man was shot in the hip Saturday morning in Capitol Hill.
At 7:39 a.m., police responded to a shooting in the 1400 block of Olive Way East. Arriving officers found a man in an apartment building with a gunshot wound to his hip. Police began first aid and then transferred care to Seattle Fire Department medics upon their arrival. Medics transported the 46-year-old victim to Harborview Medical Center with apparently non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers interviewed several witnesses at the scene who provided limited details and varying accounts of what happened.
Police documented and collected evidence at the scene and detectives will continue to investigate.
