Routine Patrolling Leads to Arrests and Recovery of Stolen Vehicle and Gun 

Seattle Police were patrolling and found a running occupied vehicle illegally parked with no plates in the Cherry Hill neighborhood early Saturday morning. 

When officers approached the vehicle at about 04:00 a.m. near the intersection of 23rd Avenue and East Spring Street, they observed two subjects asleep in the running vehicle. The car was reported stolen out of Seattle. 

The man who was seated in the driver’s seat appeared to be exhibiting signs of impairment when police contacted him. Officers observed drug paraphernalia within the vehicle. 

With further investigation, the 31-year-old male suspect was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and charges were requested for driving under the influence. He was later booked into King County Jail after the completion of a blood warrant. 

When officers searched the 27-year-old female suspect, a handgun was recovered from her person. She was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of a stolen firearm and booked into King County Jail.
