Man Injured in Capitol Hill Stabbing

Seattle Police officers responded to a report of a man who was stabbed Friday in Capitol Hill.

When officers arrived just after 7:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of East Pike Street they found a 41-year-old victim with a puncture wound to the stomach. Police provided first aid until Seattle Fire Department personnel arrived. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers learned the suspect got into an argument with the victim, which escalated until the suspect stabbed the victim. The suspect was last seen running northbound on 11th Avenue from East Pike Street.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Homicide Detectives will be leading the investigation of this case.
