#2023-072752/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 03-16-2023 at 2335 hours, officers responded to the 800 block of Fairview Av N and contacted the victim who stated he was walking back to his hotel with his fiance holding hands. Unknown suspect(s) were driving by in a vehicle and yelled out to them using profane language. The suspect(s) then threw rocks at the victim striking him twice. Victim did not report any injuries, but believed he and his fiance were targeted based on their sexual orientation. They stated there were other pedestrians in the area, but they were the only ones to have rocks thrown at them. Suspect(s) are currently outstanding.
#2023-072757/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2342 hours, Seattle Fire responded to a fire in a unit at an apartment building. SFD found 2 deceased individuals inside. The Fire Marshal ruled the fire “undetermined” but likely accidental. There was no evidence of violence or an intentional set fire. KCME responded and took custody of both deceased individuals. SPD’s ABS will conduct the follow up.
