Suspect Arrested for Drive-by Shooting in the Industrial District

Seattle Police arrested a 30-year-old male in connection to a drive-by shooting in the Industrial District Thursday morning.

Shortly after 6:30 a.m. officers responded to a 911 call reporting someone fired a gun from a vehicle near the 300 block of South Bennet Street. Officers located the suspect vehicle in the 1700 block of 4th Avenue South and initiated a traffic stop.

Police contacted the driver and developed probable cause to arrest him for investigation of drive-by shooting.

Officers obtained a search warrant for the vehicle. During the search, police recovered a gun and 46.7 grams of suspected crack cocaine.

The suspect was booked into King County Jail.
