Narcotics and Stolen Handgun Recovered During Emphasis Patrol

Officers working an emphasis patrol along the Aurora Avenue corridor last Thursday recovered narcotics and a stolen handgun following the arrest of the driver for an unrelated incident.

Just before 11:00 p.m., officers contacted the driver of a vehicle in the 10500 block of Aurora Avenue N after recognizing him from a prior incident for which they had probable cause to arrest him. As they approached the vehicle, they saw the driver rolling cannabis and noticed signs of impairment. Police took him into custody and impounded his vehicle to the North Precinct for a search warrant.

Officers found the following items in the vehicle while serving the search warrant:

  • Heckler & Koch 9mm pistol (loaded, round chambered – confirmed stolen out of Everett)
  • 10 rounds of 9mm ammunition
  • 62 Xanax pills
  • 57 counterfeit Xanax pills (suspected fentanyl)
  • 3,600+ M30 blue pills (estimated by weight)
  • 10.76 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • 1 morphine pill
  • 12 doses of propoxyphene (opioid)
  • 1.4 grams of methamphetamine
  • 57 grams of Khat
  • 10.3 grams of crack cocaine
  • 15.5 grams marijuana
  • 1 syringe of hash oil
  • Drug paraphernalia

Police transported the 24-year-old man to the King County Jail and booked him for multiple felonies and DUI.
