Late March, a man walked into the North Precinct to report being a victim of an armed robbery.
The 35-year-old male victim was seated in his car in the 13500 block of Aurora Avenue North. During this time, an unknown male described as a Hispanic male 5’7” approximately in his 30s-40s holding a black semi-automatic handgun approached his car and punched him in the face.
After the assault, the suspect took the victim’s cell phone from his car. The suspect was seen leaving along Aurora Avenue North in a newer Mercedes sedan with another man described as a Black male approximately in his 20s-30s.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries to his face.
Robbery detectives continue to investigate this case.
