Detectives are investigating a shooting in the Belltown neighborhood which injured a person early Thursday.
Shortly after midnight, multiple 911 calls were received about a person shot in the 1900 block of 2nd Avenue. Arriving officers found the victim on the ground with a gunshot wound. Police rendered aid to the victim until Seattle Fire arrived to continue lifesaving care.
Officers collected evidence and did an area check, but the suspect was not located.
The victim was transported by medics to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
