Bystander Shot During Drive-by Shooting at the Atlantic City Boat Ramp

Seattle Police responded to a report of a shooting at the Atlantic City Boat Ramp Thursday night. 

Shortly after 8:45 p.m. officers arrived and located a female with a gunshot wound. Officers provided first aid until Seattle Fire Department personnel arrived. The 45-year-old victim was transported to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

Officers learned the victim was shot while walking near the boat ramp. Witnesses said they observed an unknown suspect fire a gun from a silver sedan as it drove past the park. It is unclear what led up to the shooting, or who the suspect was targeting. Witnesses stated a red sedan inside the park fled the scene in apparent chase of the suspect vehicle.

Patrol officers secured the scene and processed it for evidence.
