(UPDATE) Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Shooting Suspect Involved in Robbery

UPDATE: 06/08/2023, 10:15 a.m.

The male suspect involved in this robbery has been identified to be Ibssa Adem. Police are still in search of his whereabouts. He was last seen in the area of the170 block of 12th Avenue.

Anyone with information about the location of the suspect and or information about the incident is encouraged to call 911 or the SPD Violent Crimes Tip Line.

Original Post: Man Shot Midday in First Hill

Police are investigating a shooting which possibly escalated into an armed robbery in the First Hill neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

Just after 12:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a 911 call of a person shot in the 1200 block of Madison Street. Arriving units located a victim with a gunshot wound and rendered aid until Seattle Fire crews were on scene.

The 26-year-old male victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury.

The suspect may have left the scene in a vehicle northbound from Madison Street. He was described as a Black male in his 20s – 30s, with a large Afro-style haircut and wearing a green shirt, black pants, and white shoes.

Investigators are working to determine what led up to the shooting.
