#2023-161228/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 6-10-2023 at 1128 hours, police responded to the 2700 block of 4th Avenue for a subject making inappropriate gestures and causing a nuisance in front of a business. When units arrived, the suspect tried to assault an officer and was taken into custody. Police booked him into the KCJ for assault 3 and warrants.

#2023-161380/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1424 hours, police responded to a religious building in the 2100 block of 5th Avenue after a man made hateful and derogatory comments toward members. When members tried to remove the man, he pulled a knife and made threats to kill one of them. The suspect walked away and was not located.

#2023-161504/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1637 hours, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a cannabis dispensary in the 3800 block of Stone Way N. Two suspects entered the shop armed with handguns and took marijuana and cash. Police checked the area but did not locate them.

#2023-161697/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2031 hours, SPD CRG officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle involved in a street racing event. The driver pulled into a large parking lot where other participants were gathering, then recklessly maneuvered through heavy pedestrian and vehicular traffic before leaving the area. CRG found the suspect vehicle disabled and unoccupied a few blocks away.

#2023-161721/North Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2058 hours, officers responded to reports of multiple shots fired, followed by a call that a person had been shot. Officers located the victim and rendered aid until SFD arrived. The victim was taken to HMC with non-life-threatening injuries. Patrol recovered evidence and processed the scene.

#2023-161806/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2250 hours, officers heard numerous shots being fired near Seward Park Avenue S/ S Henderson Street. Multiple vehicles left the area as officers arrived. Police did not find any victims or property damage and processed evidence found at the scene.
