#2023-165114/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 6-14-2023 at 0130 hours, officers responded to a report of an armed carjacking in the 1500 block of Broadway after two suspects stole the victim’s rental car and cell phone at gunpoint. Police performed an area check for the suspects and stolen vehicle with negative results.

#2023-165160/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

At 0330 hours, officers responded to an armed robbery in the 9200 block of 35 Ave SW. Three suspects entered the store; one was armed and demanded money from the clerk while the other two grabbed merchandise. The suspects left in a vehicle and were not located.

#2023-165149/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0355 hours, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 9700 block of Waters Avenue S. Officers found and recovered evidence of a shooting at the scene. No victims or property damage were located.

#2023-165262/North Precinct/First Watch:

At 0759 hours, officers responded to a shooting in the 8900 block of Nesbit Ave N. Two shooting victims were located on Aurora Avenue, and two nearby schools were briefly put on lockdown while officers secured the scene and investigated. Both victims were transported to a hospital for treatment.

#2023-165266/South Precinct/First Watch:

At 0803 hours, officers responded to a report of a male shot in the area of 43rd Avenue S and Othello Street. Police arrived and administered aid to the victim while units set up containment for a possible suspect search. Ultimately, it was determined the victim likely accidentally shot himself, then handed the gun to two other males who left the scene. The victim was taken to HMC with non-life-threatening injuries.

#2023-166138/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 1200 hours, officers were called to the 200 block of 16th Avenue E for a stabbing victim who walked into a medical facility for treatment. The victim told police he was stabbed at Beacon Avenue S and S Lander Street earlier by a suspect who attacked him from behind. The victim was later taken to HMC via ambulance.

#2023-165951/North Precinct/Third Watch:

At 1950 hours, officers were dispatched to a report of a subject who had shot a handgun outside while in an argument with a neighbor. The subject returned to his residence and refused to talk to police. SPD HNT arrived and talked the subject into exiting his residence where he was taken into custody. Multiple firearms were recovered from the suspect’s residence, and officers booked him into KCJ for harassment and discharging a firearm.

#2023-165970/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2011 hours, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 7500 block of 43 Avenue S. Officers recovered evidence of a shooting at the scene. No victims or property damage was located.

#2023-165971/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2011 hours, officers assisted SFD at an illegal burn at the bus shelter at Rainier Avenue S and S Henderson Street. SFD advised this was one of several fires set at bus stops during the evening and a female was found on scene shortly after crews arrived. She later admitted to setting the fires and was booked into KCJ for reckless burning.
