#2023-167367/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
On 6-16-2023 at 0404 hours, officers responded to a commercial burglary in the 4700 block of 42nd Avenue SW after a pickup truck backed into the front door of a business to gain entry. The suspects fled the area prior to police arrival. An area check for the suspect vehicle was negative. It was later determined the suspect vehicle was an unreported stolen vehicle.
#2023-167677/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1117 hours, officers responded to the report of a suspicious person attempting to remove a child from a daycare. Staff became suspicious of the suspect’s behavior and thwarted him from taking the child from the fenced yard. Police attempted to contact the suspect at his residence and called SPD HNT and SWAT when he refused to exit. The suspect was eventually taken into custody and booked into KCJ for investigation of kidnapping.
