#2023-169579/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 6-18-2023 at 0307 hours, officers patrolling in the 9400 block of Rainier Avenue S broadcast after hearing multiple rounds being fired south of their location. Police located the scene and recovered evidence of a shooting but found no victims. Several cars were damaged, and the front of a business lost several large plate glass windows.
#2023-169884/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1220 hours, officers were attempting to locate a felony suspect near the 1100 block Eastlake Avenue E. A possible suspect ran from officers, crossed Interstate 5, and was eventually taken into custody. The suspect had a felony U.S. Marshals warrant for his arrest. One officer sustained a twisted ankle that did not require medical attention.
#2023-170178/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 1859 hours, police responded to a disturbance stemming from a parking issue. The suspect, apparently unbeknownst to all parties, interjected herself into the argument and made bias remarks along with threats of harm to the victims. Officers responded but did not locate the suspect.
#2023-170206/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 1945 hours, officers responded to 911 calls about a shooting in the vicinity of 36th Avenue S and S Adams Street. A scene, as well as two victims, were located. Officers provided treatment for the victims until SFD’s arrival. The victims had non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to HMC for additional treatment. Officers recovered evidence from the shooting at the scene.
