In 2014, the Kent Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted an investigation that led to an arrest of man for several trafficking related charges and an unlawful possession charge because the suspect was armed in the commission of the above crimes.
On July 9, 2023, Seattle Police Department’s Investigative Support Unit (ISU), Community Violence Task Force, FBI, and our local partners developed probable cause for the same suspect, who was arrested in the city of Kirkland for a firearms violation warrant.
While the suspect was in custody, ISU established probable cause for additional charges of committing the crime of human trafficking on Aurora Avenue North and the surrounding area for months.
Police arrested the suspect for the crimes of human trafficking and promoting commercial sexual abuse of a minor.
Seattle Police Department along with our federal and local law enforcement partners will continue to pursue the most violent offenders.
