Seattle police arrested a 17-year-old male for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and recovered a firearm in Rainier Valley Sunday night.
Officers were on patrol when they observed a reported stolen vehicle traveling westbound on South Cloverdale Street from Rainier Avenue South.
Officers initiated a traffic stop and contacted the driver. The male suspect was taken into custody. Police searched the vehicle and located a handgun, firearm accessories, and a replica rifle.
The juvenile is legally prohibited from possessing a firearm.
The suspect was booked into King County’s Children and Family Justice Center.
