#2023-208672/West Precinct/Second Watch:

An officer saw that there was a demonstration of approximately 50 to 100 community members located at 4 Ave S/S Main St. The DEMO was monitored from a distance. The DEMO was peaceful, and no crimes were committed. The demonstration ended at Hing Hay Park.

#2023-208284/South Precinct/First Watch:

Officers responded to a 911 call of a woman assaulted at a building in the 3900 block of S Othello St. Officers spoke to the victim and developed probable cause to arrest a suspect. As officers arrived and spoke to the victim they witnessed the suspect on foot heading towards his apartment, they quickly ran to the building and secured the hallway outside the suspect’s apartment. The suspect never communicated with police while inside. HNT and SWAT responded and eventually were able to safely arrest the suspect.

#2023-208790/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

Officers responded to a shooting call in the area of 35 Av Sw/ Sw Juneau St. Witnesses advised that a male suspect was walking eastbound on SW Findlay St firing towards a unknown vehicle. The suspect turned around after firing multiple rounds and ran possibly southbound on 35 Av Sw. Another witness advised that a vehicle was driving northbound on 35 Av Sw and the front passenger was firing rounds towards an unknown direction. Officers did not locate any victims, suspects, and/or property damage. Officers did locate shell casing and a bullet fragment.

#2023-208825/South Precinct/Second Watch:

Officers received a 911 call reporting someone shooting from a vehicle. Officers quickly arrived to the 9600 blk of 51 Av S and located approximately 30 rounds of both spent and unfired 9mm rounds. A Glock magazine was also located in the road. KCSO was flagged down in the 12000 blk of Renton with a victim of the shooting. The driver of the vehicle was shot in the back/shoulder and hand. He was transported to HMC via KC Medic 5. A suspect has not been identified.

#2023-209971/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

At 18:02hrs, officers responded to a robbery call near the intersection of Southwest Avalon Way and 35th Avenue Southwest. The victim advised the suspect shoplifted and crossed the “point of sale” without paying. The victim attempted to retrieve the stolen item back from the suspect, but the suspect pulled out a knife. The suspect started to wave the knife in a threatening manner and then left the area. The victim was not injured during this incident. A short time later, officers located the suspect and placed the suspect into custody.
