Collision on Aurora Leaves Man with Serious Injuries   

Late Wednesday evening around 10:00 p.m., a man was driving northbound when he collided with a person in a wheelchair.  

Police arrived near the intersection of Aurora Avenue North and North 140th Street alongside Seattle Fire Department personnel and observed a man was trapped underneath a Honda vehicle.  

Officers secured the scene and conducted the investigation as SFD worked on freeing the man. As soon as the 37-year-old man was freed, he was provided medical care and transported to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment of his significant injuries.  

It was observed the injured man was crossing in an area not designated for crossing along the Aurora corridor.

The 44-year-old driver of the Honda vehicle was found to have no signs of impairment at the time of the collision.
