Police received a report of a man with a gunshot wound in the 8800 block of 14th Avenue South in South Park.
Officers arrived just after 9:30 p.m. and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. Police provided medical aid prior to Seattle Fire arriving on scene.
SFD responded soon after and took over care of the 40-year-old male victim who sustained life-threatening gunshot wound injuries. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment.
A male involved in a physical altercation with a known woman approached the victim and shot him, while he was sitting in his vehicle in a nearby parking lot.
Both the male suspect and woman left in a sedan type vehicle from the location.
The Gun Violence Reduction Unit will be leading the investigation of this case.
