Early yesterday morning, multiple callers reported a vehicle crashing into the entrance of a business in Lake City.
Police arrived just around 5:00 a.m. in the 11000 block of Lake City Way Northeast and found a silver KIA Forte wedged between the bollards in front of a business entrance.
The vehicle was running without a key and had damage to the steering column and ignition. Both signs the vehicle may be an unreported stolen.
The business sustained significant damage to the front doors and to its interior. The owner was not able to provide the total amount of merchandise stolen at the time of the incident.
Police reviewed camera footage which revealed four suspects involved in the burglary and two vehicles. The silver KIA was utilized to enter the business and the three occupants were observed entering the business. They later exited and fled from the location in a dark full-size sedan type vehicle waiting nearby.
