#2023-301680/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0045hrs, officers responded to a carjacking near the intersection of Rainier Avenue South and South Charles Street. The victim was sitting in his vehicle in a parking lot when he was approached by 3 males armed with firearms. The suspects ordered the victim out of his car and forced him to enter their running vehicle. The suspects drove the victim around continuously assaulting him. The suspects took the victim’s belongings and allowed him to exit. The suspects returned to the original scene and stole the victim’s vehicle. The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical aid. Robbery detectives were contacted and responded to the scene.

#2023-301884/North Precinct/First Watch:

At 0841hrs, officers responded to an initial report about a person with a gun running towards a person down on the ground. The call was updated that two male subjects left the scene in a SUV. Responding officers searched the area for a victim while other officers searched for the vehicle. Both searches were negative. Two subjects approached officers reporting they were involved, and they were driving the SUV. The subjects stated they were working in the area when a suspect prowled their vehicle, stealing a gun and ballistic vest. The victims of the car prowl told officers that they were armed when they located the suspects a short distance away. The victims told officers that they were able to get their property back. Officers attempted to locate the suspect but were unable to.

#2023-302308/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1556hrs, officers were dispatched to a robbery/attempted carjacking. The victim reported that he was sitting in his vehicle when he was approached by three juvenile males. They asked him for the time. Shortly after responding, the suspects began assaulting him and searching his pockets. The suspects were able to get his car keys and his cellphone. One of the male suspects entered the victim’s vehicle and attempted to start it. The victim stated that he grabbed hold of the suspect and pulled him from the vehicle. All three suspects then ran away from the scene. The suspects are still in possession of the victims’ keys and cellphone. Officers did an area check with negative results. The suspects are still outstanding.

#2023-302605/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2143hrs, Officer parked in a nearby parking lot near the 3200 block of Lake Washington Boulevard South when he heard what sounded like automatic gun fire coming from the north. Additional officers responded and located nine shell casings in the middle of the road. The officers did not locate any property damage or victims. The evidence was photographed and collected.
